FEMA recruits new Campaigns Officer

FEMA is pleased to extend a warm welcome to new staff member, Filippo Marino, recruited as Campaigns Officer to represent and promote European motorcyclists' interests at the European institutions.

Filippo comes to us with a strong academic background in European and International Law, and experience in this field, having worked with the European institutions. This Italian native and enthusiastic motorcyclist rides a Ducati MonsterDark 750 as his daily means of transport.

When applying for the job, Filippo said: "It has always been a goal of mine working for an organisation such as FEMA, representing and defending the rights of a category of citizens I feel I belong to. I started riding when I was 15 and I have never stopped ever since. I have always been passionate about civil and consumers' rights and working for FEMA will allow me to combine two aspects of my life I am very interested in: lobby and hobby".

Bob Tomlins, FEMA's Assistant Secretary General, one of the two persons in the office who was dealing with political issues, has been appointed Coordinator of the EU co-funded project undertaken by FEMA on Initial Rider Training in Europe. He will be working on this project for the next eighteen months, whilst continuing to represent FEMA and the International Coalition at the United Nations in Geneva.

We welcome Filippo Marino to the team of people serving the FEMA and its members, and are very confident he will make a positive contribution to the position.
