John Mitchell is the current National Chairman of the Motorcycle Action Group.
John is someone with a long history of activism. For the past 14 years, quite a lot of that energy has gone into MAG. Currently on his second stint as Regional Rep for the South East, he has also been a Director on the Board of MAG (UK) Ltd., in charge of creating/buying MAG's advertising space in the biking media – building up strong relationships with Back Street Heroes and 100% Biker magazines that have continued to this day.
Since John came back as South East Region Rep last year, the region has gone from being dormant – bar Brighton branch which has just got its Bus Lane trial opened – to a thriving region raising awareness of MAG and money for the fighting fund. Since the last Regional AGM in August his plans to start at least four new branches are already coming to fruition.
He currently rides a Roulette Green (in other words, very green!) Triumph T509 Speed Triple, after finally curing his addiction to Kawasaki shaft-driven fours (though he's passed that onto his wife!)!
