27-09-11 Message from MAG President, Ian Mutch.
MAG wishes to thank all the riders who came on our Motorway protest ride and demonstrated the resolve and discipline of which our lobby is capable. Inevitably there were some who misunderstood the mission and indulged behaviour that MAG finds it difficult to defend. Most of this activity took place after the twenty-minute MAG demonstrations that we planned but will of course still be connected with MAG’s day of action.

This has really taken off and it is great to see so many people coming on board, joining something that the Motorcycle Action Group has organised and members have worked so hard towards.
23-09-11 Peter Skinner MEP sends a message of support for 25th Sept - EU Hands Off Biking.
MAG is receiving support for the 25th from all across the political spectrum, with Conservative MPs joining us on the ride, messages from well wishers in Parties as disparate as UKIP and the SNP and now we are delighted today to say that some Labour MEPs are now getting involved.
22-09-11 Another MP commits to ride with us on Sunday 25th September.
Another MP, Mark Lancaster (Conservative- Milton Keynes North) steps up and agrees to ride his own bike with us on the 25th.
21-09-11 Over 100,000 views of our start points map!
There have now been over 100,000 views of our start point map, our T-shirts have sold out and the IMCO committee vote has been delayed yet again, now to 22nd November which means the EU Parliament won't now be voting until next year.
20-09-11 British and Irish riders protest as authorities confirm determination to mandate hi-viz clothing for bikers
The Road Safety Authority in Ireland has confirmed that it intends to make hi-viz clothing compulsory for all motorcyclists from 2014. MAG(UK)'s General Secretary Nich Brown said; "too many riders have been unwilling to believe they will be forced to wear day-glo clothing in the near future."

14-09-11 IMCO vote on EU Regulation postponed to 17th Oct
The Internal Market and Consumer Protection Committee, which has been discussing the 305 amendments to the proposed EU Type Approval Regulation, intended to vote on 6th October, but the vote has been postponed until 17th October, with the EU Parliament then voting on 14th November

MAG’s 1st National Classic Bike Show is on Sunday 2nd October 2011, starting at 10:00am until 4.00pm at Towcester’s 1950s Jack’s Hill Transport Café.
