01-03-2010 Department of Transport launches brand new Bike Awareness campaign

The Department for Transport is launching a brand new bike awareness
campaign, that attempts to humanise riders and make drivers THINK about
the fact that behind that visor is a brother, sister, father or mother. The TV version of the advert will be aired tonight 1st March during
Emmerdale, but you can watch it here

http://www.dft.gov.uk/think_media/241027/241123/2010mc-60_named_riders.mp4

There is a regional radio advert to accompany the video and they will
all be running throughout March.
MAG was consulted throughout and applauds the efforts the DfT continues
to make in attempting to reduce road casualties and its recognition that
other road users need to be educated about PTWs.
