Hi I’m Selina Lavender the National Chair of the Motorcycle Action Group, pictured here at home with my Moto Guzzi Griso.
I’m not entirely sure when I first became a MAG member although I know it was in the 90s and I was riding a GPZ500S at the time. We travelled many, many miles together and visited a lot of rally sites across the UK, a great deal of those were put on by MAG members which is where I first came across the organisation. It was the 2,000s before I became really interested in the political side of MAG. I became the Political Rep for West Norfolk MAG and from there was elected to the role of East Anglia Regional Rep in 2007.
I feel very honoured to now serve MAG as the National Chair, having been elected by the membership at AGC 2015. I am looking forward to meeting lots of members throughout the year and working with those of you who are keen to continue/become activists and make a real difference. We can’t win them all but we can educate people to life on two/three wheels. Together we can continue the good work of MAG.
