Great news for people in the Greater Manchester area, is that the DSA is opening its new Multi purpose Test Centre in Bredbury on 4th October.
The bad news is that they will be closing one current casual site at Chadderton, stopping m/c testing at Hyde and closing a driving test centre at Reddish..
The DSA always planned to concentrate testing in MPTCs, but while there is a motorcycle test backlog and a real concern about test access and availability, as highlighted in the current Ministerial Review, we have to question the wisdom of this policy in Greater Manchester and wonder why the sites cannot function together in the short term.
The DSA giveth and the DSA taketh away…
