Leicester City Deputy Mayor to attend next MAG meeting

Rory Palmer, Deputy Mayor of the City of Leicester will be attending the local MAG meeting at the Victoria Biker’s Pub, Whitwick Rd, Coalville, LE67 3FA on Wednesday 5th September.

Leicester MAG is another new group, not yet a year old, but under Ian and Hagar’s nurturing, the group is going from strength to strength, this event being another example of how MAG works on the ground for all riders.

This will be a great opportunity for riders in the area to talk directly to ‘the powers that be’ about issues relating directly to motorcycling in Leicester. The City Council has responsibility for many biking issues, such as secure convenient parking, bus lane access, road surfaces and more.

Maybe Leicester will be the next City to open its Bus Lanes to bikes, help ease congestion and demonstrate that it is committed to improving traffic flow and air quality for the population?

Please come along, support the group and join in the discussion on the 5th September, and remember, if you don’t ask, you don’t get. Better to speak to those who can make a difference than grumble among friends.

In addition to Mr Palmer, a member of the MAG Campaigns team from Central Office will be in attendance to answer any questions you may have about MAG, or wider European issues affecting bikes.
