Fifty Seven riders gathered last night at the Westward Inn in the famous Lee Mill, outside Plymouth, for the inaugural meeting of Plymouth MAG.
There was a great selection of bikes and a wide variety of people who were all enthusiastic about ensuring a MAG presence in the city.
In the first instance the group are going to meet every 2nd Wednesday of the month, though this may become more frequent, but 6 of the activists will be at the Plymouth Bike night tonight to spread the word about GET A GRIP and the other MAG campaigns.
Huge thanks to Pete Bourner and Anna Yendell, the driving force behind the new group and to the staff of the Westward Inn, a really excellent venue. Paddy Tyson, MAG’s campaigns manager, was on hand to answer any questions and 5 new members joined on the night.
Tonight, (Thursday 11th) will see the first meeting of a new group in Cardiff, the Welsh capital and seat of political power. It will be great to have a an active group so close to the action. Come along if you are in the area, to The Ninian Park Hotel, Leckwith Road CF11 8HH.
