MAG invites ‘friends’ to say hi at Motorcycle Live

MAG has issued an open invitation to members and friends of the group to visit the group at the MAG stand in Birmingham’s NEC.

The Motorcycle Action Group has called on anyone interested in riders’ rights and the work of the Motorcycle Action Group to meet the team at the annual Motorcycle Live event in Birmingham’s NEC.  This event, which runs form now till Sunday, 27th November, is one of the premier biking events of the European calendar.

MAG’s chair, Selina Lavender, says ‘we’ve had a very busy year standing up for riders’ rights across the United Kingdom.   We’ve been starting new groups, from the North East of England across to Northern Ireland, and working at a very high level to protect peoples right to ride.   The Political Unit has been hard at work in London, Cardiff, Edinburgh and Belfast and it’s plain for all to see that our profile is rising nationwide.’

MAG is asking all those interested in ensuring their right to ride is not taken away to meet up and sign up to the group.  ‘Lots of friends and members have already come to the stand for a chat and to find out what’s on the biking agenda.  There are endless threats to our freedom to ride.  These include new user charging regimes, new restrictions on where we can ride and an endless number of highway and safety schemes where riders have not been properly considered.  Without MAG, we would not be free to celebrate all that’s best on two wheels.  It only costs £27 a year to support us, but the returns from our work – for anyone who cares about motorcycling – are priceless.’

Meet us at our stand – which is 2C05.  It’s just at the entrance to Hall 2, on the right, and we’d be delighted to see you.
