MAG invites you to Farmyard’s 30th Birthday

Riders’ rights group opens farm gates to bikers at major Yorkshire rally

The Motorcycle Action Group is celebrating the 30th birthday of its famous Farmyard Party this weekend (Friday 17th June to Sunday 19th June) in the North of England, and has invited members and non-members to attend and share the unique experience of this mass gathering of motorcyclists from around the UK.  With bands including Slade UK and Limehouse Lizzy, as well as the ever popular Ska Finger, and a comedy line up featuring Dean Shanyaski, Rob Coleman and Tom Lawrinson, the event is guaranteed to entertain from dawn till long after dusk.

The Farmyard Party is taking place at Duncombe Park, Helmsley in Yorkshire, to raise funds for the biker lobbying group and to celebrate all that’s best in life on two and three wheels.

MAG President Ian Mutch, says ‘MAG was founded in 1973 to defend and promote the interests of bikers with an emphasis on protecting motorcycling from unhelpful legislation and threats to riders’ liberty.  Farmyard is a chance to meet the key people involved in that campaign work, including MAG Chair Selina Lavender, and to simply enjoy the great community which motorcycling is all about.’

Leading MAG’s political lobbying team, Lembit Opik, a former MP and biker of 36 years experience, will be at Duncombe Park for the party.    ‘The Farmyard Party is called a party with a purpose for a reason. Bikers who attend this event do so with the knowledge that the profits from it go to protect their rights as riders.  There’s no better way in the world to celebrate the heart and soul of riding.  That’s what MAG exists to protect.  Farmyard is family friendly and welcomes bikers from anywhere of any age – and this defines the liberty riders seek and celebrate.’
