Open house event for potential new reps

This Saturday, 23rd March 2019, MAG Chair, Selina Lavender, is holding an open house event in a bid to attract new MAG Reps.

If you live in the East of England, this is your opportunity to visit the Chair for a cuppa and find out more. Selina’s throwing open the doors of her home near March, Cambridgeshire from 8.00 am to 8.00 pm… and the kettle will be on.

Selina says ‘We are always open to enquiries from members who are interested in becoming Reps, whether at a local or regional level. This event is a way of allowing people to find out more in a friendly, informal setting. At present in the East, we are short of Regional Reps and Local meetings so I thought we’d give something different a try. ’

If you wish to attend please text Selina on 07870 792227 for her address, and include your name.

Reps are an important part of MAG’s communication chain. They hold regular meetings, and feed information from members into the National Committee who meet in person on a bi-monthly basis.

You don’t need any special skills to become a MAG Rep; if you love bikes and are able to talk to people then you can do the job. The amount of time you give to the role will depend on your availability and the other officers within your branch or region. Branches and regions run best when their members support each other to share the tasks.

If you are interested in becoming a Rep but are not local to Selina, don’t worry; you can find out more by contacting Tracy Smith, National Reps Liaison Officer, at nrlo@mag-uk.org, or via MAG’s Central Office (central-office@mag-uk.org or tel: 01926 844064).
