Thames Valley Motorcyclist killed after hitting rock in the road

We are saddened to report that last Sunday morning a motorcyclist, Jeremy Edwards (Spud), who was a member of the Thames Valley Wings, died after hitting a rock apparently “left in the middle of the road”.

Please find links below for the initial report and then the unfortunate confirmation that a substantial block of concrete was deliberately placed in the road – what a senseless waste of life.

Our thoughts and best wishes of course go out to the family and friends of Mr Edwards.

If anyone who was in the area prior to 6.30am and has any information about the collision, or who saw any suspicious activity, they should contact Sgt Grant Thomas of the Road Death Investigation Unit on 101, quoting URN 715 7/10.
If you don’t want to speak directly to the police, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online at www.crimestoppers-uk.org.
