The first night in Devon


South Devon MAG had it’s first meeting last night at the Welcome Stranger pub in Liverton, near Newton Abbot and more than 25 hardened riders came out on what must have been the worst night since March.

Driving rain and howling wind didn’t dampen the spirit though and they were then joined by 3 of the new Dorset MAG group members, who traveled 70 miles to be there.

The first meeting was organised by Clive and Jenny Cook who, like so many MAG members recently,  felt inspired to lend a bit more of their valuable time to MAG’s campaigning work.

It’s been a few years since there was an active group campaigning for motorcycle awareness and riders rights in South Devon, even though the area has a long history of MAG activism.

A rudimentary local MAG stall has already been organised and expect to see the volunteers working the stall at bike events throughout the region. If you do, please introduce yourself and say hi, they deserve the support as they fight to save and promote motorcycling.

Regional Rep Mike Baker was on hand to meet the members and answer questions, as was Paddy Tyson from Central and even MAG President Ian Mutch, eventually….
