The Manx Grand Prix has been saved!

“The Manx Grand Prix has been saved! The 90th Anniversary of the Manx will be 17th to 30th August 2013, and best of all it is now a full International meeting for the first time in its long history.

Run in conjunction with the Isle of Man Festival of Motorcycling including the Classic TT, the Manx Grand Prix is going to be something not to be missed!

We’ve just received the good news here at MAG along with a letter of thanks from the organisers of the campaign to save it, to all the MAG members who signed the petition.

The Manx Government had announced that ‘it was no longer viable’ as an event, but the Isle of Man is the motorcycle road race capital of the world and the tourism sector, including thousands of small businesses, couldn’t survive if it ceased to be so.

There are many attacks being levelled at motorcycling in it’s entirety, so it’s always good news when part of motorcyclings heritage, and future, is saved.

Please don’t forget you can sign up to marshal while you’re there, as the organisers need marshals, and you will get the best seats in the house for some amazing racing on the modern bikes. www.manxgrandprix.org
