Last week witnessed the first meeting of Hexham MAG in the North East of England. Over a dozen members gathered and two new riders joined MAG on the night at the Tap & Spile pub, the Landlord even put sandwiches on for the occasion.
Then last night, more than twenty riders assembled in the beautiful Anchor Inn at Tideswell in Derbyshire, as a very windy night saw the launch of Peak District MAG. Derbyshire Road Safety Partnership’s Rob Hill came along to meet everyone and discuss MAG’s future involvement in casualty reduction locally, which is a great start.
Paddy from MAG’s central office was on hand at both inaugral meetings and we would like to extend our thanks to Paul in Hexham and Wraith in the Peak District for getting things started with such enthusiasm.
Coming up, we have new groups starting up in Rugby, Warwickshire and Carmarthen, South Wales… watch this space!
